01 / BACKGROUND

Why FLYBRAIN fights

Dr. Bram Vlieg mapped intention by watching a million fruit flies choose between light and hunger. When his laboratory was sabotaged, the emergency neural lattice saved his mind by distributing it through the colony—and rebuilt his body according to an insect’s idea of a scientist.

Flybrain enters the circuit to recover the seven stolen pieces of his original cortex. He fights with ideas that hatch, memories that strike back, and a neural appetite he barely controls; every victory returns a fact, but makes the buzzing inside the amber dome a little louder.
